We got this email in June. As normal it came from someone we probably offended and they had to go digging for information to muddy us up with. The typical “you’re making stuff up” came up again along with some stuff we usually get in most of the hate mail we receive. We find it funny most of the hate mail we receive tells us how we are hateful and negative but the same mail tries to call us names, belittles what we do with insults, and tries to justify the actions of those we discuss on the site.

Pretty much, if you don’t like what we do, then quit reading the site and move on. Some people feel the need to send anonymous emails to get the last cowardly word in thinking it harms us. However at most we get a good chuckle on the forums and post it on the main page where people can see the types of people who get mad enough to send us stuff like this. Now for what you have been waiting for, this weeks presentation!

My name is Ray and I just ran across your site last week. While I can say there is a lot of effort, it comes off as nothing but a shrill attempt at an outburst of something you don’t like. Most of the wording and general attitude of the site sounds like it is made by a childlike mentality that is overly concerned for what others do. The flamboyance in your writing has me wondering what your mental capacity for real world social interaction might be. I may come off as insulting you but digress, you are the one who runs a web site devoted to demonizing a select few. Then you do not offering anyone the glimpse of what how perfect you are over those you demonize. I view your vain attempt as pathetic and it makes me wonder if you are what you hate so much deep inside your soul.

Your whacker page says it all. You go into details on personal observations as offering them up as fact on silver platters. I see the only type of person who would chow down at your wealth of knowledge is those who are equally as hateful of their inner demons as you are. Your web site as you call it is not much more on the subject of unbiased fact as Wikipedia is. Both of your sites tout how much you are for doing one thing while being an outlet for the editor’s and author’s life struggles others take as reading material. As another letter posted on your web site said so well, there are no such things as whackers as you describe them. The imposter problem you quote as an epidemic is a mere crime that has fewer cases than purse snatching and red neck incest in the Bible belt.

Since you are a coward who hides behind your domain name I decided to research you a little. I was about to but chose not to pay for an overnight background on you as I would rather frequent my funds to a hobo than find what rock you live under. What I could find on the internet shows a trend of cowardice, trolling, and general lack of social empathy to anyone. I also find people speak of your handle with great disgust and you are pretty much looked at with contempt in every circle I ventured into. Like a sniveling little coward, you never use your real name or give a face for those who you belittle to look into.

Looking over your web site I found a few who faced you. Donna Clark, whom owns a legitimate fire department and Eliot, a person who you robbed photos from to add to your album are the obvious ones. Both gave you a face to look in and you couldn’t even give them your first name in return. Yet, you call them out on the very issue that you hide, standing up to those who are wrong. If it were possible, I would buy them both a round to congratulate them on facing you and winning. They won against you because you backed down from each of them. You attempted to demonize them but failed at both. You basically posted an edited version of what they said, made your rebuttal while sounding smug, and never gave them the chance to counter-rebuttal you.

I could go on all day about your web site and the mentally challenged content it spews but I won’t. Your recent updates sound like the dying breath of a lost cause on your battlefield. Your recent content consists mainly of what your hate or what others hate about you. There are no facts or premise by which your web site will thrive. Unlike Hamsexy.com, you only propel hate and anger at your readers with no humor, insight, or even collegial generated information. Your topics are rehashed from a few months before and this does nothing to keep long term readers. If the whackers were such an epidemic then you would have material oozing out at the seams of your sources. Instead you interject person opinion and dislike into each story and plaster it on the front page of a poorly designed web site.

A true blog or media site usually tries to keep things fresh. You haven’t accomplished this from day one and will never do so. I predict you will be tired of hating through a narrow beam and will grow bored with the web site subject and move on. I hope and pray (actually I’m an atheist and prayer is for the feeble minded) that you don’t hurt others or demonize others in your next subject of hatred after you flushed policeposers.com down the toilet of self serving web sites.

This is the part where I bid farewell. I have called you faceless and a coward throughout this letter several times. Now you can do the same to me. Ray was a name I chose to start this letter off as a personal one to get your attention. I am not going to reveal who I am or what I am. This is for you to think about as you find something in this letter to get mad about and go throw a tantrum about on your chat board. I also expect to see this on the policeposers site as that is where you blow your steam from your meaningless life. Just take this letter and imaging the author as everyone you have wronged in the life of your web site. Also imagine it as every person you or some simple minded admirer of your site labeled a whacker who was never one. Lights have never killed or hurt anyone but hatred and anger have killed billions. What side are you on?

Policeposers, by it’s very nature and scope takes in volumes of hate mail.  For us, that’s a sign of affirmation.  Every ranting diatribe is proof we are doing our job and making those who feign authority uncomfortable and unaccepted.  Though the sources are varied, these authors all seem unified by their insecurity and need to trump-up trivialities for personal gain.

A few months ago, our servers began taking hits from a “Skywarn” forum devoted to discussing amateur storm chasing.  An individual there apparently read through to our site, was offended, and raised his grievance up the proverbial flagpole.  His battle cry stems from the fact we have devoted time to profiling those whom cling to the National Weather Service’s Skywarn program as rationale for playing flashing-light hero.  After scouring our photo album, he identified “at least five other members” of this Skywarn Online forum who’s vehicles had apparently been featured by us.  The perceived humiliation of having their sundry personal vehicles featured on our site was simply too much indignation for the amber-lighter community. There began the railing of the troops, and it brings us to the subject of this article.

The insurrection from the jilted Skywarners didn’t last long.  The attack thread was summarily closed from on the Skywarn Online forum with most rational folks asking ‘what’s the big deal?’ and moving on.  However, that didn’t satisfy at least one individual.  Soon our mailbox began taking in bellicose “threats” from a person who identified himself as Elliot Maines.

Elliot’s’ story began in that great cauldron of whacker material, the eLightbars (now The Lightbarn) forum.  A popular thread exists on that site which features images and tales of “whacker [and] screwed-up lighting.”  Without trepidation, Elliot himself posted a photo set of his own vehicle, an old Dodge Dakota replete with multiple flashing lights used presumably for “Skywarn” activities in Ohio.  An onslaught of posts ensued and he released an explanation that he “just like(s) lights in general, and…things just took off from there.”  The thread continues as he was lauded by brethren, in keeping with the atmosphere of that site.

The photos Elliot posted were hosted on the popular free site Photobucket.  In accordance with the explicit user agreement Elliot agreed to in posting photos on Photobucket, “Photobucket and/or other Users may copy, print or display publicly available Content outside of the Photobucket Services, including without limitation, via the Site or third party websites or applications.”  Therefore, they entered the public domain and any claim he had to such images is lost.

After we attempted to broker an agreement to satisfy him, we began to see a disingenuous nature emerge.  Instead of having any sincere interest in discretion, he was actually playing us on the Skywarn Online forum.  While he sent us trumped-up threats, he was publicly threatening that we would be the supposed victim of cyber attacks to his internet friends.

As a unilateral gesture of our good nature and due to the commotions started elsewhere over this subject, we removed the photo album that was Elliot’s point of contention.  Though we had no legal obligation to do so, it was done as a courtesy to Elliot.  However, he subsequently chose to threaten us and that will not be tolerated from anyone.

This was the rallying call heard recently on the Skywarnonline.com forums in a thread entitled- Skywarn members credibility could be risk. The call to arms was answered by several fellow storm spotters/chasers/foamers. They were upset over our posting of public domain obtained images showing various Skywarn members vehicles with various states of lighting obsessions. Within hours the thread was locked and then taken away to some hiding spot.

Contained in that thread was a plethora of complaining, whining, arm chair lawyering, and attempted investigations into policeposers creator’s personal history through the website host and domain. While none of those accomplished anything, it was funny how much effort people put into finding dirt on someone who questioned their motivation for lighting abuse. A common misconception of the whackers in society is that the creator runs this web site alone. Well, the website is coded by the creator and webmaster of policeposers, but the content is created and distributed by an advisory board or staff who work behind the scenes to bring to light the topics on the site. Want proof? Ask any staff member on our forums and they will repeat what we have said here.

Why are we posting this? Well, it’s simple, to illustrate the mentality of some people. The posted photos were found via reader submissions of the individual’s Photobucket.com accounts which are posted in the Public Domain-

This is one of the emails we receive each week regarding the site. The thing different with this one is they can’t find anything to pick on so they go for the last resort, how much time is spent on PolicePosers.com. This is usually an attack angle by those who can’t find any dirt on our staff. Then they want to try to insult us on something that is easy for the email author to say without having to prove it. It gave us a good laugh and showed how desperate some are to downplay or insult our cause.

Thanks for going to all that trouble to formulate & regularly update your website we (the rest of the virtual community) needed a really good laugh… must take a lot of your personal time to maintain, you seem to have that in abundance eh?

Your stand point on aftermarket vehicle fitments like driving lamps & bull/nudge bars is flawed… vehicles are built to a price point not an accessory cap!

We got this email a few weeks back via a personal email account. We are finding an increase of hate mail being sent to our personal email accounts instead of the official channels on the web site. People might be doing this in an effort to avoid us posting it publicly such as this email. As you can see from this email, we see another example with a combination of hate, anger, misconception, immature insults, and someone trying to justify their existence to us. As in the past and with this email, we don’t care but like the entertainment. Enjoy!

You sir, have a good life. Keep in mind with your retoric that what goes around comes around and your hatred and slander will one day cost you.

Well, Donna Clark/Fred Cross is not out of our lives yet. I received the E-mail below at 01:07 Friday night and was worried a bit until I realized who it was from. Like the previous letters we have received on this issue, it remains nameless and switches between first and third person perspectives several times through the letter. Law 101, any attorney will tell you that to begin a case, you don’t harass the defendant with semi-anonymous threatening E-mails.

After reading it I had to laugh, who wouldn’t? While we can’t directly blame Fred for this due to the lack of names in the emails, we can assume he has either a direct involvement with, or is a knowing participant in, the sending of these harassing letters. For the Fred/Donna fan club, I have reviewed my web site with an attorney and we know what we are doing.

We found that the email was sent from the E-mail address policeposers.loses.suit@gmail.com. While checking out the firegeezer’s blog, we found that someone had made similar legal threats under the user name firegeezer.loses.suit@gmail.com. Well, what a coincidence. Now ladies and gentleman, on to our main presentation:

Welcome to the big wide world of lawsuits and “big houses”, becuase you, my man, have just met yours! It seems you just do not know when to quit, do you? Well maybe a litigation suit against you will help in shutting you down.

This week we finish up our hate mail bag. The below comes from a PM (Private Message) I received on a very pro-whacker web site. Believe it or not, some people and web sites think abusing lights is an “expression” protected by the USA First Amendment dealing with Free Speech. The below PM came from a user who was made about my opinion on lighting abuse which I made clear in a thread on that web site.

What do you have against amber light users? You never hear about amber light users in the news and more to the point you never hear about them period. Since the guy had a nice and sharp setup, you go and verbally rape him over it because he has something you are jealous of. The guy did nothing to you and was very professional about his setup and explained with great restraint on why he used it. REACT has been using lights long before you were probably born little man and will continue to use them no matter how much you run to your little [censored] bath house web site and crack on others behind closed doors.

I like how you added his photos to your little flikr wannabe album. Whats ironic is you crack on people being wannabes and then have a wannabe photo album picking on those who can’t respond. I bet that takes some major balls big boy. Same goes for your bath house forum with your little club of people who have nothing better to do than rag on others without giving them the chance to respond. I bet you sleep nice at night because you think your immune from the furry you pathetic excuse of an existence of picking on the defenseless. It takes real men hiding behind computer screens to pick on someone who puts their dedication out for all to see. Also takes a real man to make others get into your high security forums ran like some nazi dictator who got picked on too much in school and is unleashing his hatred now. With the effort you put into picking on others you probably have no life and get jealous of other so you pick on them and make yourself feel powerful in front of your pathetic excuse of friends you have in your little club forum. Like a lot of hate mail we get, this was obviously emotionally driven. We find that whackers and wannabes will get offended and respond with very emotional and sometimes violent logic to counter the facts and opinions stated by our members. Just mentioning Policeposers.com will anger some and get the blood boiling in others due to the whacker and wannabe mindset that they are right and we are wrong, always. Most whackers and wannabes are too far gone or not mature enough to snap out of their phase. It is and has always been our goal to educate the public on these types and to prevent them from being victims of fraud and deceit that whackers and wannabes are so good at.

Our forums are not locked down to everyone as people have spouted off in various venues. We invite anyone to come to our forums and share opinions, thoughts, ideas, or general discussion you might have. Our forums deal with more than “picking on whackers” as most think. Stop in, you might find something interesting that you like.

This was actually a series of PM’s I received on a popular security forum. I pieced them together to make them into one unit. I also corrected some errors that were so bad that it was hard to understand where the author was going.

I was referred to your site through your posts here on the forums. To be honest your web site disgusts me. I am a proud security officer with over 10 years in the force and I find your web site offensive. Your web site does nothing but trash the professional security profession and does more damage for us than good. You do not say one thing positive about security and even claimed you worked in it for some five year. Are you ashamed of your time in security? Does it bother you so bad you have to pick on it because you got out of it and now am better than us? The fact is mr tough guy is this world wouldn’t exist without security. I read on your page where you try to make the legit hard working security officers out to be cop wannabes. This is in the eye of the be holder but is a larger problem built up by web sites like yours than it actually is. All of the officers I work with are hardworking guys and some want to be cops some day. The guys I work with are a lot better than the scum that most police departments hire now days. If it weren’t for security the cops would be all corrupt and you would be at there mercy. As you might know, security has been around longer than cops have and will probably be around longer than the cops will be. Its no surprise that cops are outnumbered by security almost 25 to 1. That is because there is more of a demand and want for us and not the jack booted thugs who stomp down doors of the innocent to steal their money because they can.

It’s funny you don’t post stories of cop corruption and only post stories of security officers screwing up. I can go and find 10 or more stories dealing with police corruption compared to a single story about a security brother messing up or being framed for something. I tried and can’t find anything about police corruption on your web site. Do you even care or you just trying to smear us? You don’t hear anything on security officers busting down doors to steal or going 100mph code3 to help a brother out because they stubbed their toe like the cops do all the time. I know, I have saw it when cops abuse their lights to gather up on some poor shmoe who was minding his own business and out him in the hospital for giving some crooked cop a dirty look. I hope some security officer who reads your web site will meet you in person and show how much of a wannabe they are.

Security personnel are a necessary part of society. They just need to understand that their function is to stand watch, act as guards, deter crime as a physical presence who will be vigilant and report violations to the authorities. For the most part, it is a boring job that takes little talent, skill or education to complete. Thus, it will never hold much professional status or prestige. Those who “know their role” are not the subject of this site.

Sorry, but it is what it is. There are exceptions, such as those who guard high profile things like nuclear power plants, military installations and international mercenary-type activities among others. But that is the minority of the industry. These people have passed more stringent background investigations, pre-employment testing and ongoing training than the guy locking up a school after hours, or the man in a golf cart chasing off skaters from a shopping center.

Security personnel are not vested with any investigatory or arrest powers beyond what you and I have as private citizens or as the delegates of the property owners they serve. For that reason, they should not be portraying themselves as special operations teams, governmental agents, police officers, or anyone else vested by law in making arrests, serving warrants, issuing citations and other functions publicly reserved for LE. This includes displaying near-facsimile badges, patches, other uniform items, vehicle markings and warning devices that would lend the public to think they are a branch of actual law enforcement.

The topics we deal with here involve individuals whose interest in the industry stems from it’s quazi-official nature and authority. For them it’s as close to being a real cop as they’ll get, or it offers much more freedom than actual LE employment. The latter are the ones who own more lights, weapons, armor and communications devices than necessary, often more than any police agency would ever issue or authorize. Their exploits make for our material on this site.

This following letter I recieved from another person offended by my view on 09/11 being a rallying call for younger fire fighters trying to be closer to the real thing. Obviously, like the rest of the offended, this person didn’t read my whole article.

Dear Sir,

So go ahead and tell me how Im just a whacker wannabe. Cause if you do I will know for sure your a useless sack of oh yes Sally you know what Im talking about. Good day Sir and enjoy your freedom. People like me sacrificed so you could say whatever makes you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.

As you can see, he is someone who is offended and also sent along his resume because he was trying to prove his point, “chest pounding” if you will. As always, my response.

I appreciate your email in regards to our web site. To start off, I don’t think anything I say will make you happy. It sounds as if your mind was made up before you even came to my site and you looked for something to be offended on. With that being said, you found it in your mind that I make it a goal to make fun of volunteer fire fighters. Well Sally, you are wrong. I’m not going to waste my time on how important volunteer fire departments are because put simply, you will skim over it looking for something to take offense to or twist it enough to take offense. I haven’t made fun of anyone who wants to save lives or risk their lives to run into burning buildings for the mental rush. That is a draw for a lot of volunteers and more power to them. About the 9/11 opinion, boohoo for you. Your rant did nothing to change my view point and if you don’t like my view point, then forget it and move on. Maybe you have blinders on or have the same mentality of the volunteer probbies/newbies who cry tears every time 09/11 is mentioned or someone brings it up. These kids didn’t lose any brothers or sisters that day (unless they had relatives there), they were still in school when it happened and probably didn’t even know fire fighting at the time.

As for fire fighters/EMS/police ACTIVE on that day, they deal with it differently and you hear less about “OMG my brothers died that day” from them and they probably remember back in their mind when they hear that date but no one else ever notices it. The funny thing is the younger fire fighters make more of a commotion on the issue than the people who were part of a department on that date. You could almost call it the “poser mentality,” thinking they get the same type of respect and courage since they are simply fire fighters now. Simply put, there have been a lot of tragedies both domestic and abroad dealing with the public safety profession (let alone civilian tragedies) since then and you will rarely, if ever, hear about it from the same types who turn ever mention of 09/11 into a temporary memorial. Visit most FDNY firehouses involved in the tragedy, most of them refuse visitors anymore because they get tired of people reminding them of what happened on that day. Stickers and murals on vehicles will not bring those people back and only further the reminding of those feelings that people have from that day that were mature enough to know what loss is about. “Saving Lives” and reminding others constantly of a tragedy that happened almost a generation ago are two very different things.

As for “picking” on all volunteer fire fighters, I still don’t see where that can be directly pulled from my web site. I do mention the volunteers who take the fire fighting thing from a hobby to an obsession. There is a difference between volunteer and full time fire fighters. Calling them the same is like calling high school football player and a NFL football player. One plays for the spirit of it and the other plays for the pay. They do the same thing, but their reason for involvement is still different. With that being said, they both perform a very much needed and appreciated service. There are those who are the types who join 3+ departments, have no life outside of friends on the department, hanging out at the fire house constantly, and their real job. Yea, those types thinking that by drowning themselves in the hobby that much, they are more like the real thing. A lot of people will also view these types as wannabes also and these types left in this mental state too long can become a liability and a hazard. Two decades ago these types would be shooed off of most departments. However, with the current decay of society and everyone wanting reward for their accomplishments, volunteers are drying up. While on the topic of “rewards for accomplishments,” that’s your entire last paragraph on your letter is about. Being in the Marines and a Park Ranger has nothing to do with the rest of the letter and it sounds like you either want attention for your accomplishments or you’re trying to place yourself above me for the same. Another angle on it is you’re trolling for a hate letter in response so you can prove to whoever how bad of a person I am and how good you are with your background. I’ll leave up to a fellow forum staff member to explain the thoughts on your military background. Sadly, like the web site itself, you will only get what you want out of this letter and ignore the rest. For that I can’t help you.

Hey guys thanks for responding. I just wanted to clear up a few things though. First of all I was mostly offended at your attitude towards 9/11. I think that people in America are to quick to forget. To give you a little back ground, I posted the surveys mentioned below on four forums including ours. The surveys were deleted off of crownvic forums in short time due to their sympathy for whackers and general impostors, turned into a HS clique started attack fest on radioreference until it was locked down. The surveys weren’t meant to offend or even offensive to those who I have showed. However, the responses to the surveys show that the whacker problem exists, but most don’t want to deal with it until it affects them. This type of attitude is becoming common place in American society. As you can see below, some whackers were emotionally hurt by the surveys and chose to write their feelings on the subject, this website, and even me.

Just shut the [CENSORED] up already. I really don’t get why the [CENSORED] you would keep going on your wacker attacks since you are one. Your web page talking about your own type is about as [CENSORED] lame as someone making a web site on the retards at their school. You might think your leet because of it and your buddies might think the same but to the others, your just a retard like the ones your picking on. Wacker is a term made up by idiots like you who have nothing else better to do than ridicule others because they see themselves in a mirror and have to make others look worse. You and your fans are the small minority and you are already unpopular and will be nothing more than a memory in due time.

Like hamsexy all over again? You are a has been that was never anything and your desperation of spilling you filth to other forums that hate you further proves my point. As you can see, a lot of emotion and personal opinion went into that little rant. Also there are a lot of misconceptions and general bad/old information about me in there. So let’s start there.

4. I get accused of being a whacker, wannabe, and even an impostor with a CVPI a lot. However, none of these people know me in person and when offered to come meet me in person, the invitations go unanswered. They assume this web site is my life and I am obsessed with the whacker issue, both of which are untrue and pure speculation.
