Vehicle Lighting Colors for Michigan.
Red: Fire/EMS/LE/Vol FF & EMS. May be used by any federally recognized non-profit organization that operates an emergency response team. Tow Trucks my use red.
Blue: Law Enforcement Only.
Green: Not permitted by law.
Amber/Yellow: Highway maintenance vehicles / Security (on private property only) / HAZMAT response vehicles while on scene / Hearse / tow trucks / garbage trucks.
Clear/White: May only be used in conjunction with red or blue on authorized emergency vehicles, no restrictions on white/clear to the rear. Not authorized on tow trucks.
Sirens: Siren required for all emergency vehicles which includes POVs of FF/EMS.
Special Rules: Everything except LE vehicles is required to be 360* visible.
